A Baton Rouge jury recommended the death penalty for Sanchez Brumfield, 23, convicted of the Sept. 8, 2006 killing of 21-year-old Aaron Arnold. The 12-member jury had to reach a unanimous decision to recommend the death penalty; any other vote would have resulted in a life sentence.
