A court in the southern Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam handed down the death sentence to an Australian of Vietnamese origin after she was found guilty of heroin trafficking. Le My Linh or Lisa Vo, 43, who resides in Sydney, moved to Australia in 1979. She became acquainted with a man named David who paid her to return to Vietnam to collect 882g of heroin and 209.5g of diazepam (valium) to bring to Australia. Linh was arrested on November 17, 2001 at Tay Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
