A court in Vietnam's Dong Nai province sentenced Phan Thanh Nhan, 21, to death after he was convicted of killing his pregnant lover in October 2003. Nhan, who had wanted to end the relationship, had cut the woman's throat and then tried to burn her body, the Ho Chi Minh City police newspaper said. He was arrested four days later.
