A death sentence passed on a Swiss national for the 1997 murder of a schoolgirl in China's Yunnan province has been commuted to life imprisonment, AP said. The unidentified 34-year-old is in jail in the provincial capital, Kunming. He was convicted of strangling the girl, 16.
