A Douglas County jury has recommended the death penalty for Roy Ellis.
The same jurors found Ellis, black, guilty on Friday of the Nov. 29, 2005 first-degree murder of 12-year-old Amber Harris.
A 3-judge panel will now make the final decision about whether or not Ellis gets the death penalty.
