A five-member delegation from the European Union's Human Rights Commission on a visit to Iran met with Majlis representatives Mohammad Dadfar and Ebrahim Amini in Tehran to discuss issues of human rights and religious minorities in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Amini said that the European delegation will provide a report on human rights conditions in Iran for the European Human Rights Commission.
The European delegation was very sensitive to issues such as banning torture and non-discrimination of women and religious minorities in Iran and they contended that the women's rights and religious minorities are not observed in Iran, he said.
Dadfar said the European delegation is seeking a panel discussion among representatives of the European Union, the government, Majlis and the non-governmental organizations dealing with human rights issues in Iran, IRNA reported.
