A gunman and a drug trafficker were hanged. Tay Chin Wah, 67, was given the death sentence after he was found guilty on February 21 of unlawfully discharging a firearm.
Drug trafficker Jimmy Goh Chye Soon, 26, was arrested in May 2000 for possessing more than 80 g of diamorphine, the scientific name for heroin. He was condemned to death in December 2000.
