a Hargeisa City Councillor, Mustaffe Osman Dahir, was sentenced to death by the Regional Court of Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland. The councillor was convicted of murdering Rashid, a friend, neighbour and fellow kinsman in the city earlier 2013. The assailant used a pistol during the incident which claimed the life of the victim.
