A jury in Arapahoe District Court handed down a unanimous verdict that 23-year-old Sir Mario Owens should die. Jurors last month found the 23-year-old Owens guilty of 1st-degree murder in the June 2005 deaths of Javad Marshall-Fields and Marshall-Fields' fiancee, Vivian Wolfe. Marshall-Fields had been scheduled to testify against Owens in another murder trial. Formal sentencing is set for Sept. 2. (source: Associated Press, Rocky Mountain News)
