A jury recommended Bigler John "Bud" Stouffer II be sentenced to death. They convicted him of the 1985 shooting death of Linda Reaves, 34. This was the second time a jury has determined Stouffer should die for the slaying. He was granted a new trial in 1999. District Judge Jerry Bass set his sentencing for March 6.
