A mass grave was discovered at an industrial zone of Yopougon containing the bodies of 55 men, which all appeared to have been shot at close range. Most of the bodies were naked or partially clothed. One opposition newspaper, the Patriot, said the victims were followers of the Muslim opposition leader Alassane Ouattara, and had been executed by paramilitary police.
