a minor offender, named Amir, is at imminent risk of execution, reported the Iranian daily Etemaad-e-Melli. Amir was convicted of a murder he allegedly committed two years ago, when he was 16, according to the report. His sentence has now been approved by the Supreme court and sent to the "Ejraye Ahkam" (Enforcement of the judgement) section. However Amir’s lawyer has sent an appeal to the head of the judiciary Ayatollah Shahroudi which has to give the final approval.
