a Multnomah County Circuit Court jury ordered the ultimate punishment for Michael Andre Davis in the Nov. 2, 1991, aggravated murder of his ex-girlfriend Belinda Fay Flannigan, 30. The jury also gave Davis, 49, life in prison without the possibility of parole for killing Gerald Glenn Phillips, 33, who was with Flannigan. The jury had convicted Davis of 12 counts of aggravated murder on Oct. 28. Judge Michael McShane will formally impose the death penalty on Davis on Dec. 5.
