a Parliamentary Roundtable for consultation on abolition of death sentence was held in Dar es Salam and attended by some parliamentarians from Tanzania and Uganda, together with senior government officials from the Judiciary and Non Governmental and Civil Organisations.
The Roundtable consultation was the result of intensive campaigns against death sentence mounted globally by the "Parliamentarians for Global Action" (PGA).
