A senior Palestinian official slammed the killing of two Palestinian men sentenced for collaborating with Israel. The official, who wished to remain anonymous, said "executions carried out by certain armed groups are dangerous."
Such groups should be "stopped from carrying out this kind of operations because it is an assault on justice," the unidentified official said.
Armed Palestinians not affiliated with Palestinian security shot the two men dead after they had been transferred from a Bethlehem jail ruined by Israeli airstrikes to a safehouse.
Mohammed Deifallah had received a death sentence for aiding an Israeli army assasination, while Mahmud Sabatin had received a life sentence for his help over another killing.
