a speedy trial tribunal in Dhaka, Bangladesh, sentenced one person to death while 12 to life term rigorous imprisonment in a sensational AL leader Rabiullah murder case. The death sentenced convict is Kamal Mia, hailed from Bazitpur upazila. The life term convicts are Doyal Mia, Anaros Mia, Shahin Mia, Sahil, Prokash Mia, Rubel Mia, Rupak, Nurul Islam, Sujit, Rana Shikdar, Mamun Mia and Sohel Mia, all hailed from Maizchar village in Bazitpur upazila. According to the prosecution, the convicted allegedly indiscriminately chopped the victim, also general secretary of AL of Maizchar union in Bazitpur, over previous enmity on April 25, 2005 on his way to Kishoreganj from home.
