A Thai woman who had been sentenced to death in Indonesia for possessing 12.19 kg of heroin, Namsong Sirilak, had been barred from reading newspapers, watching television and listening to the radio, prison sources said. The move could have been related to her execution, the sources said. Spokesman of the Attorney General's Office, Kemas Yahya Rahman, recently said that Namsong and her companion, Saelow Praseart, were soon due for execution. "However, I could not announce when and where the execution will take place," he said. The two Thais were arrested on Jan 21, 1994 for bringing 12.19 kg of heroin into the country. They were tried by a local court and were sentenced to death on December 14 that year.
