Abdol Ghani was executed in Ghazni Province's Qarabagh District. He had been sentenced to death for the murder of Abdor Raoof by the first instance court of Qarabagh District and the litigation court of the province. The decision was upheld by the Supreme Court and approved by his eminence Amir ol-Momenin [the Taleban supreme leader].
The Bakhtar Information Agency reported that Abdol Ghani had confessed to committing this crime, without any pressure on the part of investigators.
"The order of God for execution was then applied to him in Ghazni town's Hazrat-e Hakim Sanaai Park in front of thousands of people," the agency said.
