About 300 members of militant groups in Nueva Ecija demanded justice for the 24 victims of unsolved killings in three towns in Nueva Ecija.
The demonstrators accompanied the relatives of five residents of Pantabangan town, who were killed in an alleged encounter on October 8, 2001, to the provincial prosecutor's office and filed complaints against the soldiers involved in the incident.
Army officials in Northern and Central Luzon, however, said the incident was a legitimate encounter and the supposed victims were New People's Army rebels.
