AFGHANISTAN: MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR BEHEADING YOUNG GIRL

A primary court in eastern Kunar province of Afghanistan sentenced an Afghan man death for beheading a young 17 years old girl in this province.
Two other Afghan men who were also involved in the beheading of the Afghan girl were sentenced to 17 years in jail.
The men were accused of beheading a young Afghan girl — Shabana - after they failed to took her with themselves around three months back.
The court verdict was announced in the presence of several local residents including an Afghan child who was witness of the incident.
In the meantime father of the victim said he received death threats before the incident to kill his daughter if they did not accept to marry her with them.
