AFGHANISTAN. TWO GANG MEMBERS GET CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

a court in Kabul, Afghanistan, sentenced to death Hashmatullah and Mahmood, members of a notorious gang, after charging them with committing murders and armed robberies. Feroz and Gul Agha, two other men involved in the case, were sentenced respectively to 16 and 20 years imprisonment. It was reported that their ringleader Telagai had been sentenced to death along with seven accomplices some five months back. They were all accused of robberies, murders and kidnapping of three foreign election workers of the United Nations.
