Ahmed Yar, a convict in Pakpattan, wasto be hung at the Sahiwal Central Jail on June 6. Ahmad Yar had killed Mohammad Mansha on November 2, 1992, when he (the deceased) stopped the accused from teasing his wife Waziran Bibi. Yar was condemned on October 30, 1994, and all his appeals were turned down.
