In Algeria, the Criminal Court of Constantine sentenced to death two men for kidnapping and killing two children in the northern Algeria city.
The two convicts Ameen Qawasim, 38, and Hamza Ouberri were found guilty of kidnapping, sexually abusing and killing two boys identified only by their first names - Haroun, 10 years, and Ibrahim, nine years.
A third accomplice, Belal Zahhaf, 27, was sentenced in absentia to 10 years in jail for failure to report to police on the crime.
The bodies of the two boys were found on March 12, 2013, at a construction site in Constantine.
The crime drew nationwide denunciation and prompted protest marches in the city calling for revenge from the criminals.
