Pervez murdered his cousin Yasmin on October 10, 2001 after accusing her of having illicit relations with a youngster in her home village of Jallu. The girl defended herself against the accusations and locked herself in her room in a bid to save her life. However Pervez broke down her door and shot her in the chest.
