an Indian construction worker was sentenced to death in Singapore, on charges of murdering his fellow countryman, The Straits Times reported. Periyasamy Devarajan, 20, was accused of killing 31-year-old Raju Arivazhagan, who was working in Singapore for the past six years, on February 8, 2012. Devarajan, who hails from Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, was in remand for a week before being prosecuted for murder charge, which carries a mandatory death sentence.
