An Iranian woman, convicted of murdering her husband...

An Iranian woman, convicted of murdering her husband in complicity with her paramour, has ended up at the gallows in Tehran's Qasr Prison.
Sa'ideh Qasempur-Malayeri and her lover Amir Hoseyn Fada'i were found guilty of murdering Sa'ideh's husband some three years ago and whose body they later burned to avoid detection of their crime.
Both were sentenced to death by a Tehran court and were supposed to be hanged on Tuesday. Malayeri's sentence was executed but Fada'i won a last-minute reprieve on his sentence and was sent back to prison.
The sentence imposed on Malayeri was upheld by the Supreme Court in line with the Islamic principle of retribution.
