Andrew Cuomo, whose father repeatedly blocked the death penalty during his 12 years as governor, is pledging to carry out executions if he becomes governor. Cuomo is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor, told The Post he wouldn't seek to repeal the death penalty - passed in 1995 at Gov. Pataki's urging - despite his opposition to capital punishment. "I'm against the death penalty, but I'm not going to work to overturn the death penalty," Cuomo said in his 1st public comments on the hot-button political issue that helped bring about the defeat of his father in 1994.
