ARD [the Pakistani Alliance for Restoration of Democracy] chief Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan, urged the UN human rights organizations to immediately launch a probe into the massacre of hundreds of prisoners of war by the Northern Alliance.
He said, since the Northern Alliance's capturing of Mazar-i-Sharif, three cold blooded massacres had occurred. "In Mazar-i-Sharif; 100 foreign fighters, including Pakistanis, who hid in a mosque, were killed, followed by the butchering of more than 600 pro-Taliban prisoners, and the execution of 160 Taliban in the presence of US military personnel by the forces of Gul Agha, the former freedom fighter (Mujahideen) governor of Kandahar," he said.
