Ashraf Masih and Nazeer Masih were given capital punishment for a dacoity-cum-double-murder case by a Special Judge Anti-Terrorist Court in Lahore. The convicts had broken into Ghani super store on January 27, 2000, and opened fire on the owner of the store, Abdul Ghani, when he tried to resist them. They also shot dead his son in law Muhammad Nawaz who came in the store on hearing the gun shot.
