two men are to walk to the gallows for killing a boy at Dulalabad colony in Bangladesh in 2007. The divisional speedy trial tribunal awarded the death penalty to Kamrul Hasan and Monir Hossain, both cattle traders from Kutumbapur village in Chandina upazila of Comilla district. According to the prosecution, Kamrul and Monir raided the house of Ali Ahmed, also a cattle trader, on the night of November 27, 2007, with the motive to loot. Failing to grab Tk 18 lakh, the money they were aware of, they killed Sohel Rana, a student and nephew of Ali Ahmed, with a sharp weapon. Monir was caught on the spot while Kamrul was arrested later.
