BANGLADESH: 3 AWARDED DEATH PENALTY IN COMILLA FOR KILLING BUSINESSMAN

A Comilla district Court convicted three people and awarded death sentence to them for killing a businessman in 2013.
The condemned  convicts are Taslima alias Salma, 26, Shipon Mia, 22, and Shahabuddin, 23. Shipon Mia is absconding.
According to the prosecution, on December 12, 2013, businessman Shamsul Huda was abducted from his Chowddagram residence. Abductors demanded Tk 2.5 lakh as ransom to his family members.
As the family members failed to give the money, the kidnappers killed Shamsul.
