A court in Mymensingh on 10 March 2019 sentenced three people to death for killing an auto-rickshaw driver in a bid to snatch away the vehicle in 2011, reports UNB.

A court in Mymensingh on 10 March 2019 sentenced three people to death for killing an auto-rickshaw driver in a bid to snatch away the vehicle in 2011, reports UNB.
The convicts are Ziaul Hasan, 25, son of Abdul Halim of ujanpara village in Trishal upazila, Ismail Hossain, 24, son of Afaz uddin of Bhaluka upazila and Suruj Mia, 25, son of Sirajuddin of Sreepur upazila of Gazipur district.
According to the prosecution, three convicts, in guise of passengers, hired the auto-rickshaw of Shafiqul Islam at Kachina Bazar in Bhaluka upazila on 12 March 2011. Later, they stabbed and strangled Shafiqul to death after tying his hands and legs and dumped the body in Bilaijura canal near Jamidia Masterbari in the upazila.
