BANGLADESH: 4 TO DIE FOR KILLING MANIKGANJ SCHOOLGIRL AFTER GANG RAPE

A court in  Manikganj on 24 September 2019 convicted four people and sentenced them to death for killing a schoolgirl after gang rape in 2008.
The condemned convicts are Eramul Haque, Ramjan Ali, Saidul Islam and Abdul Hakim.
District Women and Children Repression Tribunal Judge Md Ali Hossain handed down the verdict in the afternoon.
According to the case statement, the convicts strangled schoolgirl Romana Akhter after gang rape on July 16, 2008, in Waiznagar village under Singair upazila.
Later, the victim's uncle Kadam Ali filed a case accusing six people.
