In Bangladesh, a Natore court has sentenced one person to death for killing a class nine student in broad daylight in Singra upazila of the district.
Court Inspector Nazibul Islam confirmed about the matter to the Dhaka Tribune. Natore Additional District and Sessions Judge Rahibul Islam passed the order in presence of the convict on Monday (October 27) afternoon. The convict is Abdul Majid, 40, son of late Zahed Fakir of Boroshaoil village of the upazila. In 2006, Abdul Majid slaughtered his neighbour's son Asif Ali. Moinul Islam, father of the dead, lodged a murder case with Singra police station in this connection.
