BANGLADESH: THREE TO BE HANGED FOR MURDER IN FARIDPUR
A Faridpur court has sentenced three people to death and three others to life term imprisonment in a case filed over the murder of a student in Nagarkanda upazila of the district.

A Faridpur court has sentenced three people to death and three others to life term imprisonment in a case filed over the murder of a student in Nagarkanda upazila of the district.
Faridpur Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Md Hafizur Rahman passed the verdict on March 27, 2024 in presence of all convicts except Azizul.
The death-row convicts are-- Mahabub Alam, Kamal Matubbor and Khokon Matubbor.
The convicts who got life term imprisonment are Ashraf Sheikh, Azizul Sheikh and Suzon Matubbor.
According to the prosecution, on June 7, 2018, Alauddin alias Antar, a student of class eight, of Char Manikdi area under Talma union in the upazila, was kidnapped for ransom and strangled to death.
Later, the convicts dumped the body.
