BANGLADESH: TWO SENTENCED TO DEATH FOR RAPING, KILLING MINOR GIRL
A Shariatpur court on 3 February 2021 sentenced two people to death for killing a minor girl after rape at Sakhipur village under Bhedarganj upazila, three years back.

A Shariatpur court on 3 February 2021 sentenced two people to death for killing a minor girl after rape at Sakhipur village under Bhedarganj upazila, three years back.
The judge of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Salam Miah handed down the verdict against Farid Sheikh, 40, and Zakir Sheikh, 32, of Sakhipur, public prosecutor Firoz Ahmed said.
According to the prosecution, the duo raped the girl, who was a student of Sakhipur Primary School, on 17 July 2017.
Later, Sakhipur police recovered the decomposed body of the victim from a jute field.
Father of the victim filed a case against the duo with Shariatpur police station.
The police also submitted charge sheet against them after investigation.
