Italy's Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi asked Belarus to suspend the death sentences of the two men held responsible for the Minsk bombing. Terzi was at the OSCE meeting for ministers in Vilnius.
Belarus and the issue of human rights were amongst the main discussions today in Lithuania.
On November 30, a Belarusian court sentenced two men to death for detonating a bomb in a Minsk metro station, killing 15 people.
Dmitry Konovalov and Vladislav Kovalyov, both 25 years old, were arrested three days after the explosion, which occurred on April 11.
