British MP and Minister for Europe Denis MacShane revealed that two Iraqi doctors living in the UK fled their homeland after being ordered by Saddam Hussein to help commit atrocities against his own people. One doctor "Had left Iraq ? because he had been asked to amputate the ears of 150 soldiers who had disobeyed Saddam's orders. He had also been asked to witness the aftermath of a mass execution to ensure everyone was dead," MacShane said. Another Iraqi doctor said "He had been asked to forge death certificates by Saddam's henchmen."
