CHINA. 2 EXECUTED FOR BEIJING MURDERS

two men were executed in Beijing for killing two women and seriously injuring a man at their homes during robberies.
Ex-convicts Gao Jun, 28, and Gao Meng, 27, lived in Beijing's neighbouring Hebei Province. They travelled to Beijing, committed the crimes and then went back home in September 2004, according to court records. In one case, the duo held captive a 54-year-old woman who was opening her door. They suffocated her and fled with her valuables. In another trip to Beijing, they followed a 32-year-old woman, known as Xu, to her home. Xu and her husband fought them. They stabbed Xu to death and seriously injured her husband.
