CHINA: COURT REJECTS DEATH APPEAL OF STUDENT

a Chinese court in Shaanxi rejected the death sentence appeal by music student Yao Jiaxin, 21, who stabbed cafe waitress Zhang Miao to death to cover up a hit-and-run accident in Xi'an in October 2010, to prevent her from reporting an incident in which Yao hit her with his car.
