CHINA: DEATH SENTENCE FOR CORRUPT OFFICIAL

a former director of the land resources bureau in Guiyang City, capital of Guizhou Province, who is surnamed Fan, was sentenced to death with a two-year reprieve on corruption charges and possessing a large amount of unaccountable assets, Procuratorial Daily reported. Fan helped property developers resolve disputes in return for bribes.
