a man who took eight people hostage in a hospital after killing the brother of his ex-wife was sentenced to death by the Intermediate People's Court of Fuzhou City in east China's Fujian Province. Zeng Jianfeng allegedly murdered Zhan Kuanlin on April 5. Zeng's personal property was confiscated and he was deprived for life of political rights after he was also found guilty of kidnapping, intentionally injuring others and robbery, according to the court statement.
