a court in Beihai, in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, sentenced a man to death with a two year grace period. In a frenzied driving episode in April 2005, Zeng Qijian, killed six people and injured four others. He drove at 92 kph in 40 kph areas in downtown Beihai, authorities said, knocking down bikes, motorcycles and pedestrians. Zeng has suffered from epilepsy since 2001 but managed to pass the physical tests for drivers. He was also ordered to pay about 1.1 million yuan (US$142,189) to the families of the victims.
