Huang Yao, 62, former chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), received a death sentence with a two-year reprieve for taking bribes by the Intermediate People's Court of Chengdu. Huang allegedly abused his various governmental positions between September 1993 and early 2009.
