it was reported that in its initial trial, the Shantou Intermediate People's Court in Guangdong Province, China, sentenced Zheng Jinming, to death with two years reprieve and sentenced Zheng Jiping and four other suspects to jail terms ranging from 10 to 15 years and fines from 100,000 to 200,000 yuan for printing 35.23m yuan of counterfeit banknotes. It was alleged that Zheng colluded with Shantou natives to use Zheng Jiping's cement shop to print counterfeit banknotes.
