two men were executed for an arson attack at an Internet cafe in Longchuan County, in southern China's Guangdong Province.
The fire killed four, including Xie Wenyi, who hired the arsonists, a Guangdong newspaper reported.
Xie hired local farmers Huang Xiaodong, Zhong Wenguang, Liu Xiangyong and Huang Yu to set fire to the Internet cafe owned by a rival surnamed Ye.
Xie promised them 30,000 yuan (US$ 3,750) to burn down Ye's business.
On the night of December 16, 2004, Xie pretended to talk business with Ye at Ye's net cafe. Zhong, Liu and Huang Yu arrived with gasoline and knives.
Zhong and Huang Yu forced Ye, Xie and two other people to the back door, which had been blocked.
Liu poured gas on the floor, and Zhong lit it. The four were trapped and died. Huang Yu was still at large. The Heyuan City Intermediate People's Court sentenced Zhong and Liu to death and Huang Xiaodong to life in jail in October 2005.
