in China, Chongqing No.5 Intermediate People's Court sentenced former police director of Nanbin Road Police Station Yue Cun, 47, and right-hand man Yin Zhiwei to death for running a gang that was found guilty of 12 charges including three murders, intentional injury, and forced trades. Yue was also fined 150 million yuan.
Another member received reprieved death penalty.
Three of the 40 member gang got life imprisonment, while the rest 34 was sentenced to two to 20 years in jail.
