a woman surnamed Lin from Nantou County Puli township in China was sentenced to death and two life terms by the Nantou District Court for murdering three of her closest family members to collect on their life insurance. Lin allegedly murdered her mother, mother-in-law, and husband over a period of nine months, beginning in November of 2008, in attempt to repay her lottery debts.
