CHIRADZULU MAN SENTENCED TO DEATH

the High Court in Blantyre, Malawi, sentenced a Chiradzulu man to death for brutally killing and cooking parts of his 11-year-old niece last year. The 12-member jury unanimously found John Thomas, 35, of Njeremba Village, guilty of murder. The jury came with the guilty verdict within 10 minutes of deliberations. The case hit headlines in August last year when Thomas was arrested with his now deceased accomplice Lucius George, 31, also from Njeremba Village.
