Christopher Wade Britton, 30, was found dead in his cell. He hung himself. Guards found Britton about 17 minutes after a security check, shortly after noon Friday. Britton was convicted of capital murder in the shooting death of sheriff's deputy Jim Bruce Graham, 54, on June 17, 2001. He arrived on death row in August 2002.
